What are we looking for? You will be ACA, ACCA/CA qualified and you will have a significant amount of experience in all areas of general accounting compliance and advice, and you will be adept at managing the workflow of a portfolio of valued clients and ensuring deadlines are met.

You will bring out the best in people, managing teams and supporting them with their learning and personal development. And of course, you will have first-class communication skills and a real passion for the delivery of excellence - this role includes lots of scope to get involved with business development so you’ll be commercially minded and excited for that challenge.

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for leading and managing staff, as well as career and personal development and overseeing the allocation and flow of work within the department.
  • Supporting the Directors in all aspects of client management.
  • Oversee a varied client portfolio (mainly SMEs) in a wide range of industries.
  • Provide ambitious standards of excellent customer service to clients by answering queries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee the provision of general accounting and tax services.
  • Quotes and estimates.
  • Business development and networking.
  • Work on any ad hoc projects as necessary.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by helping to build good relationships with both prospective clients and existing clients.
  • Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment.
