The role of the Finance Business Partner
- Providing financial insight to stakeholders to support with continuous improvement initiatives and control of internal costs
- Monthly generation of prices to support open book relationship with key customers
- Review of raw material across all sources of supply and explanation of movements
- Forward forecasting of pricing with clear justification of price movements
- Alongside the planning department review potential new SKUs and challenge assumptions where necessary
- Cost all SKUs and present costing outcome to key personnel within the business
- Work alongside the Commercial and Planning departments to build assumptions to include within tender costings
- Create and communicate financial business case models to highlight tender impacts to the business
- Produce and review forecasts regularly, challenging and highlighting any variances, ensuring regular communication to the business
- Support site managers and senior management in completion of budgets for direct costs and challenge where necessary
- Generation of budget models and individual SKU level detail
- Provide narrative of key assumptions in the annual budget to offer context in the detailed budgeted packs provided to the business
- General ledger account postings (accruals, prepayments)
- Stock management
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Support on annual audit at year end
The ideal candidate for the role of Finance Business Partner
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified/part qualified or QBE
- Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner
- Proficient in Excel
