Finance Manager (3 days per week) | Broadcast Media Solutions SME | North Nottinghamshire

The Client

Our client is a business within the Broadcast Media space that provides equipment, logistics, and technical solutions for major production companies. Having contributed to some of the biggest televised events in the UK these past few years, this business is known for their unique and high quality service. They work closely with clients such as the BBC, the NFL, Radio 1, Six Nations, Tour de France, and more.

This is a 3 day a week (part-time) role based in North Nottinghamshire. The client is flexible with which days you'd prefer to work, and they harbour a collaborative, exciting, and friendly culture.

The Role

As the business works to improve and streamline their finance function, your responsibility will be to support with the day-to-day management of the finance function, as well as collaborating closely with the Executive team to provide insight on the financial performance of the business. Working alongside a talented Finance Director and mentoring an AP Assistant, this role will be responsible for ensuring the business continues to grow and improve its performance. The role provides a great opportunity for a bookkeeper to add significant value to a unique business and experience a range of responsibilities to support the team.

The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills, be very task-oriented and keen to learn and upskill their existing experience.

This is a part-time role with 3 days a week expected in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the day-to-day finance function, overseeing the general ledger
  • Collaborate with C-Suite to prepare and monitor budgets
  • Monitor cashflow, present monthly reports on forecast/budget versus actuals
  • Filing VAT/HMRC documentation
  • AP and AR oversight, bank reconciliation with the support of an AP Assistant
  • Collaborate across the business to support operations teams with finance/accounting matters
  • Assist with weekly, monthly and quarterly close/reporting
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the Finance Director and Operations Teams
