Head of Finance - Harbour Learning Trust - LincolnshireMacildowie is delighted to be partnering with Harbour Learning Trust in the appointment of their Head of Finance to lead the Finance function and deliver a financial strategy that realises the trust's priorities and future plans.OrganisationHarbour Learning Trust is a Lincolnshire based multi-academy trust that oversees a family of seven primaries and one secondary school. The trust was established in 2014, initially with two academies and now has eight schools across Lincolnshire serving over 3000 children.RoleThey are looking for a values driven Finance professional who wants to play a key part in their growth strategy, which is sustainable, builds capacity and meets the strategic objectives of the Trust.They are open to either an experienced FD/CFO OR a Financial Controller/ Head of Finance who demonstrates the right values and desire to progress.This role will be a member of the Executive Team and will be contributing to both strategic and operational leadership working with Trustees, Chairs of Governors and Principals as well as senior external stakeholders with the primary purpose to support the best possible educational outcomes in an ethical and sustainable way.From a Finance perspective this opportunity will be a hands on post and broad in remit covering statutory compliance & audit (including engaging and meeting requirements of ESFA) as well as financial planning which includes budgeting, scenario planning, and forecasting.Benefits- Paying c£65,000 - £80,000 dependant on experience- Hybrid working with the opportunity to be based primarily in Lincoln OR primarily in Grimsby depending on which is closer to where you live- They are open to either full time or part time (0.8 FTE)- Excellent pension - Local Government pension - 23.4% employer contributionRequirements- Willing to complete qualification OR Fully qualified accountant- Sector experience - highly desirable to have previous multi academy trust knowledge or experience of the sector however are open to individuals from any Public or Not for Profit sector background- Experienced manager, not necessarily having held a CFO or "number 1" role previously however possesses the leadership experience of a team within a previous Finance role- Substantial experience of budget preparation, scenario planning and financial forecasting linked to the delivery of organisational strategy- Experience of preparing year end accounts as well as liaising with auditors and statutory bodies- Superb team working skills with the ability to contribute to effective strategic and operational decision making as a member of the senior leadership teamTimetableClosing date Thursday 31st October 2024On site Interviews w/c 11th November 2024Whether you are a Finance Manager or currently a "number 2" seeking your next step this presents an excellent opportunity to have a significant impact and influence on an organisations future.If you meet the requirements and are open to finding out more then please apply now and Peter Newman who is exclusively managing this vacancy will be in touch.
