Description

Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery has an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager - Commercial Sales. You will be working alongside the Small Gas Turbine Sales team, reporting to the Head of Bid Management. You will take full responsibility for all commercial/finance related matters and support the sales managers in managing and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care.

You will take full responsibility for all commercial/finance related matters and support the sales managers in all areas within the objective of selling the project according to defined standards, customer requirements and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG). A professional collaboration between the Bid Manager - Commercial Sales and the Sales Manager is key for the overall success. Delivering order intake, new order gross profit in high quality contracts for the product line.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Collaboration with Sales Managers in driving opportunities from bid process through to project handover to Project Management
  • Take ownership and drive the commercial aspects of the bid, incl. development of pricing strategies and defining an optimal business model and contract structure.
  • Taking the lead in all commercial aspects such as bid specific terms and conditions, tax and currency concepts, credit risk management, financial securities (letters of credit/bank guarantees), terms of payments and insurances.
  • Support the presentation of opportunities throughout the bid process for the GS D GSO SGT organization, including the LoA process.
  • Design commercial solutions and support technical solution development to address customer specific business problems.
  • Participate in activities associated with order turnover to project execution and alignment of customer expectations.
  • Identify and support the development of strategies, efficiencies, and responsibilities to turn proposals into orders and improve alignment/consistency of processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy guidelines (RIC, DLA adherence, LoA Controls, FRG, NCM, etc.) within the Sales organization.
  • For cross border projects: Evaluate and determine appropriate trading model in compliance with relevant tax regulations per PATAC guidance.

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in finance/ Business Administration/ Accounting
5+ years of professional experience in finance.
Experience with strategic financial evaluations in project business
Experience within contract negotiations, project management and financial project controlling, or cost estimations.

The candidate should have demonstrated skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines is required.
Candidate should be able to effectively communicate technical financial information to non- financial internal customers.
