Responsibilities:As an HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees, visitors, and contractors within our client's engineering facility. Your proactive approach will drive a positive health and safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislative requirements and company policies.Coordinate risk assessments and method statements, ensuring implementation of necessary controls.Provide practical problem resolution to enhance the safety of the working environment.Develop and lead a robust Health and Safety leadership team and HSE Committee.Conduct audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of HSE management systems.Investigate all accidents and near misses, implementing preventative measures.Manage RIDDOR accident reporting and internal incident logging.Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators related to health and safety.Drive safety awareness through toolbox talks and engagement initiatives.Support site leadership in environmental compliance and resource conservation efforts.

Experience:We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with:

Experience in an HSE role within a manufacturing organisation.A comprehensive understanding of UK HSE legislative requirements.The ability to work flexibly to meet business needs and a proactive mindset.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit.

Education / Qualifications:To succeed in this role, you will need:

NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); NVQ Level 5 or NEBOSH Diploma preferred.Registration with a professional body (e.g., IOSH).Proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Excellent written and numerical literacy.
