Job descriptionHygiene Operative (EVENING SHIFT)34 Hours / 4on - 4off rota / temp to perm opportunity.18.00 pm to 3.00 am with one 30 minutes unpaid breaksRate of Pay £12.02 Per Hour (£ 11.72 per hour plus shift allowance of 0.30 p per hour)Company is based in Flixborough, Scunthorpe and is currently undergoing a period of expansion following the acquisition of new business, this has resulted in a considerable financial investment in new machinery, people, and processes.About the RoleDue to new business acquisition we are looking to add 2 Hygiene Operatives to our operation at Scunthorpe.This is a hands-on role, and you will be required to stand for the duration of your shifts, with some requirements for moderate physical effort, including bending, lifting and the operation of basic manual handling. Where manual handling is required, appropriate training will be provided.Hygiene Operatives are required to maintain excellent standards of hygiene throughout all production areas, ensuring all production machinery is cleaned down in compliance with our food hygiene and factory standards ensuring our production facility is ready for the next production day.You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of hygiene activities across operational and non-operational areas:-* Chemical washing of production and manufacturing equipment;* Safe and careful handling of cleaning chemicals;* Operating and maintaining hygiene equipment;* Ensuring full compliance with current cleaning procedures;* Maintaining accurate and up to date hygiene records in accordance with company procedures;* Responsible for identifying and reporting any malfunction, faults or damage found to the belts, machinery or equipment;* Adhering to health and safety regulations.About YouThis role would suit someone who is used to manual labour, manual handling and experienced in industrial/cleaning within a food safety environment.You will be an excellent team player, hardworking, reliable and be able to work at very high standards.You will also possess a "get stuck in" attitude to all cleaning jobs.Skills and Qualifications You HaveBasic understanding of English both reading and writingGood team communication skillsComfortable working on own initiativeAbility to read and understand procedural instructions which are written in EnglishThorough and well organisedFood Safety Level 2 and/or COSHH Certifications would be ideal but not essential as training will be given
