Project Supervisor

My client, a leading Archaeology firm based in Lincolnshire are looking to appoint a Project Supervisor to their field team due to ongoing, upcoming projects and workload.

Working mostly out of our central office in Lincoln, you will be overseeing teams of seasoned archaeologists and trainees on a range of projects for fieldwork projects all across the UK, but with an emphasis on the East Midlands and East Anglia.

The Role:

You will have worked independently or in small teams for at least six months, directing commercial fieldwork initiatives in the UK such as watching briefs and short evaluations and writing the ensuing grey literature reports.

Essential For the Role:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of British archaeology across all eras
  • Familiarity with post-excavation reporting and analysis
  • A keen interest in and proficiency with field archaeology techniques
  • The ability to operate alone or as a team leader with courtesy and professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficiency with GIS software
  • Prior experience managing employees
  • Attention to detail
  • A driver's license

Desirable

  • Relevant archaeological training
  • Familiarity with GIS software like QGIS3
  • Membership in CIFRA
