We are currently recruiting for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer who will have the prime responsibility for the practical implementation and operation of the MOD JSP375 Safety Rules and Procedures. Reporting into the Area Manager, you will mainly cover sites in the East Region, however, at times, you may be required to travel extensively throughout the Midlands and South of England as the business requires.

Role Requirements

Accept responsibility for the practical implementation and operation of JSP375
Timely delivery of Additional Works, planned and response maintenance, reducing the number of corrective actions raised and close existing Corrective Actions within agreed timescales
Support project work as directed by management
Confer with the Billable Works team to ensure that all works are completed to the required standards
Assess the competence of Skilled Persons and direct to relevant tasks
Review experience and performance regularly
Produce high quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Issue safety programmes and Permits to Work and carry out Plant Room Inspection
Provide professional and technical support and advice to the site operations team, helpdesk, Supply Chain, DIO and end users
Recording all tasks against the appropriate assets in the CAFM system
Ensure all documentation relating to jobs is completed, recorded and distributed in a timely manner
Liaise closely with Senior Engineers and take ownership of personal training plans, familiarisation, and knowledge
Contribute to the delivery of and the production maintenance schedules IAW SFG20, Forward Additional Services Plans and Statements of need across the Service Delivery Area

What youll need to do this role

Experienced and appropriately qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
QCF Level 3 or 4 in Electrical or Mechanical (Boilers & Pressure Systems) or HVAC or Mechanical Building Services
At least 1 Authorised Person ticket
Confined Spaces and/or Asbestos tickets would also be an advantage
This role will include Planning, directing and controlling activities so you will have experience supervising site operations and managing staff in the appropriate disciplines.
You will be someone with the ability work on your own initiative to solve problems and make decisions.
As this role will require travel it is essential that you hold a clean, valid UK driving licence, and be willing and able to travel to sites anywhere in England.
