Known for quality and innovation, they offer customised solutions in conveyors, feeders, and screens to enhance material handling efficiency.This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a respected company delivering impactful engineering solutions across essential sectors.Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Ownership of customer design projects from initial concept to manufacturing and development
  • CAD production using SolidWorks, including machine assemblies, detail drawings, and data management
  • Design for manufacture, liaising with fabrication workshop teams and partners for efficient project management
  • Costing or estimating projects, as well as procuring parts from external suppliers
  • Performing SolidWorks FEA analysis for conceptual testing and visualisation

Experiences required

  • Educated within an Engineering discipline (time-served, HND, HNC, BSc, BEng, or MSc)
  • Proficiency using SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling or similar software (e.g., Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, CATIA, Autodesk, Siemens NX, Fusion 360)
  • Excellent understanding of component modelling and design for manufacture (DFM or DFMA)
  • Hands-on workshop fabrication experience and designing for sheet metal, metal pressing/folding machines, and weldments
