About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client at our heavy industrial facility in Lincoln. This is a critical role where you'll maintain and repair a variety of industrial equipment, ensuring smooth operations through planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and effective reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems including conveyors, chains, belts, bearings, grinders, presses, and hammers, Furnaces.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Perform regular PPM schedules and respond promptly to reactive maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
  • Apprentice-trained and time-served mechanical engineer.
  • Strong background in heavy industry (preferred).
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with industrial machinery such as grinders, presses, and conveyors.
  • Proactive problem-solver with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
