Morson Talent are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician
Location: RAF Coningsby
Salary: £37,356.00 + dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Performing maintenance and diagnostic activities on aircraft or components, including ground handling, flight servicing, inspections, fault rectifications, and system tests.
  • Reviewing operational performance of aircraft components and systems.
  • Analyzing and diagnosing faults, applying knowledge to effect repairs or suggest procedural improvements.
  • Ensuring maintenance is completed on schedule and escalating issues as required.
  • Maintaining personal task competencies and receiving on-the-job training to remain current.
  • Undertaking support tasks to maintain compliance with the MOE and mandated procedures, including oversight checks and control of tooling/test equipment.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven experience, including Typhoon Type or Q course, fully competent with required 'Authorities.'
  • Previous supervisory experience in a similar role.

Desirable:

  • Experience documented via a logbook (electronic or paper) demonstrating skills, knowledge, and authorities.
  • Completion of an Aeronautical Engineering Apprenticeship or military equivalent qualifications.
  • City & Guilds 2675/2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent academic qualifications.
  • Aircraft platform training on Typhoon or equivalent.
