BAE Systems is hiring a Mechanical Technician for a 12-month position at RAF Coningsby, offering an hourly rate of £22.57 PAYE or £30.24 Umbrella inside IR35.
The role requires in-depth knowledge of the Typhoon aircraft and a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
Candidates will be responsible for performing maintenance and diagnostic activities on Typhoon aircraft, including ground handling and component removals.
The position also involves analyzing and diagnosing faults in aircraft components and ensuring maintenance is conducted on schedule.
Applicants must have SC clearance and relevant experience in aircraft maintenance to be considered for this role.

The Job

Undertake and complete tasked maintenance and diagnostic activities on Typhoon or components which include, Aircraft Ground Handing, Flight Servicing and component removals
Review operation performance of aircraft components and systems
Analyse and diagnose fault to components and assemblies
Ensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve and issues, escalating as required
Support the response to audit and findings in a timely and appropriate manner manner and provide information to support the relevant review
