Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Crime and Intelligence Researcher to join Lincolnshire Police at their Lincoln HQ in Nettleham.

This would be a 12 month temporary post. You would be working Monday - Friday, office hours. It is £12.68 per hour.

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE:

  • To support analytical teams, by providing a research function, to assist in targeting resources in support of Lincolnshire policing priorities.
  • To provide a high quality, customer focused, administrative support in accordance with the Staff Charter.

CORE WORK AREAS

  • To research and interpret available information in relation to priority areas identified by the Analyst or as directed management.
  • Research information from computerised and manual source of records, relating to committed crime and disorder, intelligence, policing activities and law enforcement matters, in order to identify links and associations between suspected offenders and committed crimes. Identify information gaps and make recommendations for obtaining further intelligence.
  • To prepare reports summarising research findings for dissemination or further analysis as appropriate.
  • To assist in the dissemination of research by providing briefings and presenting the results of analysis to relevant parties including senior officers, external agencies and partners.
  • To research and prepare documentation to inform local Tactical Assessments

Criteria:

  • The successful candidate will have a Full UK Car Driving licence
  • HNC in a Business or Research discipline or substantive experience in similar role
  • Demonstrates experience of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Proven competence in using IT applications to input and extract data
  • Experience in the research of information from a variety of sources.
  • Demonstrates good keyboard skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • You must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously in order to apply for this position, this is due to Police Criteria.
