be:technology is thrilled to be partnered with a huge charity based in the East Midlands in search of a new member of their marketing team!

We are looking for a PR & Comms manager to lead the team and support the marketing activities of the whole company. You will be responsible for crafting press releases, internal & external communications, copywriting and all other activities related to PR and Comms.

The RoleAs the PR and Communications Lead, you will be at the forefront of developing and managing communication plans, PR campaigns, and marketing strategies, particularly for grant-funded initiatives. You will ensure that the organisation's narrative reflects its values, achievements, and community impact while maintaining consistency across all internal and external channels.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communication

  • Deliver communication strategies aligned with regulatory guidelines and organisational goals.
  • Craft compelling narratives to showcase the organisation's achievements, impact, and aspirations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Monitor the success of communication campaigns and provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Executive Leadership Team.

Grant-Funded Project Management

  • Partner with funding managers and project teams to understand grant requirements and create tailored communication plans.
  • Plan and deliver events tied to grant announcements, project milestones, and community engagement.
  • Adjust communication strategies in response to project milestones and feedback.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including invitations and promotional materials.

Marketing and Branding

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to position the organisation as a sector leader.
  • Lead communication efforts for grant-related activities and ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Develop high-quality marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and digital content.
  • Oversee the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective communication and marketing strategies.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Line manage the Marketing Executive, including conducting regular supervisions and appraisals.
  • Support colleagues in meeting their legal and regulatory responsibilities through clear and effective communication.
  • Proactively network within and outside the organisation to build valuable partnerships and opportunities.
  • Actively engage in personal and professional development to maximise contributions to the role.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Attend relevant meetings and prepare detailed reports and presentations as required.
  • Actively participate in team development, performance management, and learning opportunities.
  • Undertake any additional duties identified as appropriate for the role.

About You

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in PR, communications, or marketing, ideally within a grant-funded environment.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to adapt strategies to meet shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Office 365 and Adobe tools.
