Company Overview: A well-established main contractor based in Lincoln with a strong track record in delivering projects within Social Housing, as well as conversions of Industrial Units and Commercial Spaces. The company is known for its commitment to delivering high-quality work and has an increasing portfolio of projects in these sectors.

Role Overview: We are looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team to assist the Senior QS (SQS) in managing a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will be driven, motivated, and eager to contribute to the successful delivery of projects ranging from £300K to £2M. The role is office-based in Lincoln, with flexibility to accommodate personal appointments (e.g., doctors' appointments).

Key Responsibilities:

Tender appraisal, including analysis of material and subcontractor enquiries.

Measurement and preparation of accurate budgets, estimates, and cost plans.

Tender adjudication, assessing the cost and value of submissions.

Assisting with day-to-day commercial management of projects.

Support Senior QS in managing costs, procurement, and contract administration.

Preparing reports and providing updates on project financials.

Conducting site visits as required to ensure the project is on track and within budget.

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as necessary.

Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

Key Requirements:

Experience in Social Housing, Affordable Housing, Retail, Education, Health, Industrial, and Commercial sectors is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and project management processes.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

A relevant degree (e.g., Quantity Surveying or Construction Management) or equivalent qualification.

Previous experience in a similar QS role within the construction industry.

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software.

A flexible and proactive approach to work, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
