Senior Quantity Surveyor – Lincolnshire

Senior Quantity Surveyor – An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a one of the UK’s leading specialists in industrial design and build delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors.

To support their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role will play a pivotal part in managing project finances, ensuring profitability, and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned projects, including preparing accurate valuations and financial reports, monitoring expenditures to ensure cost efficiency, and identifying commercial risks to maximize value.

  • Manage all aspects of contract administration across NEC, JCT, and bespoke contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and risk strategies, while leading procurement efforts, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and overseeing drafting and management of agreements and variations.

  • Handle interim and final project valuations, manage and agree on payment applications and variations with clients and subcontractors, and ensure timely resolution of commercial disputes and claims

  • Provide regular financial and commercial reports to senior management, track project profitability, variations, and potential cost savings, and support financial forecasting to inform strategic business decisions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, attend project meetings to represent the commercial interests of the business, and provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior leadership.

Experience

Essential:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within industrial or commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, and bespoke contract management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, cost management software, and financial reporting tools.

Desirable:

  • Chartered status (RICS or equivalent) or working towards professional accreditation.
  • Experience working in sectors such as food, logistics, cold storage, or data centres.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and modern procurement methods
