Red Recruitment 24:7 are working on behalf of an Accountancy practice based in central Lincoln as they look to enhance their current team with the addition of an Accounts Senior.


This is a permanent full-time role with flexible working options, that offers a good salary and benefits package in a supportive working environment.


AsAccountsSenioryour responsibilities will include:


Accounts Seniors are involved in the preparation of accounts and managements accounts for limited companies, sole-traders, and partnerships to draft stage, ready for review, together with assistance on audit assignments.

Preparation of corporation tax computations to draft stage, ready for review.

Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for individuals and partnerships.

Mentoring and training of more junior members of the team.

It is expected that work will be undertaken both in the office and at clients premises as required, the ability to travel is essential.


Experience, skills and attributes required:


ACA or ACCA qualified, or QBE, with at least three-years practice experience

Strong accounting system knowledge and Excel skills

Good working knowledge of accounting standards and relevant taxation matters

Experience of working on audit assignments desirable

Ability to prepare year end accounts for companies, sole-traders, and partnerships to draft stage.

Ability to prepare Self-Assessment Tax Returns, corporation tax returns and P11Ds.

A positive, enthusiastic team player

The ability to liaise with the other departments in the practice such as payroll and bookkeeping.

Good organisational skills, capable of producing high quality work in which pride is taken.

The ability to learn from constructive feedback and to learn and develop skills within the team.
