Karter Thomas specialises in the provision of interim and contract staff to the public and social housing sector. We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a provider of support and social housing services across Lincolnshire, for a Temporary Resettlement Officer.

This role plays a vital part in helping families settle into new homes and communities. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced professional with a background in social housing support and advice. Experience working with refugees is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist families in resettling across Lincolnshire, ensuring a smooth transition into suitable housing

  • Conduct home visits to assess and provide tailored housing support

  • Work closely with a dedicated visiting Support Service to secure appropriate move-on accommodation

  • Engage with partner councils and private landlords to facilitate housing placements and ensure access to essential household goods and ongoing support

  • Maintain accurate records and share information effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience in providing housing support and advice within the social housing sector

  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and resettlement processes

  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals, including refugees (desirable)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with partners

  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
