Responsibilities of this role:

  • Helping families with complex social care needs and creating personalised support plans.
  • Following the legal frameworks for statutory intervention and make sure the families are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
  • Working closely with different stakeholders and partners to offer holistic support to children and families, addressing their needs and goals.
  • Promoting child-centred approaches that empower children to participate in their own care, prevent further harm, and foster independence.
  • Actively participating in inter-agency planning and decision-making, bringing professional expertise and insights to case discussions and interventions.
  • Communicating assessments and professional judgments clearly and confidently, both verbally and in written reports, including court statements.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 3 years experience working as a Qualified social worker
