We are seeking temporary staff for a FTE role 37.5hrs per week as a Recovery Worker at our Boston Crisis Service which is a 24hr per day 7 days per week service. The duration of this temporary requirement will be for between 10 - 12 weeks in total.

You will be a key member of a 24/7 service that supports adults who are in crisis due to a decline in their mental health.

You will work within a small team, providing support using the therapeutic intervention model for the people who utilise the service. You will work with clients to develop and deliver 'client led' recovery, which will promote control and maximise independence.

You will also be required to liaise with external agencies, including voluntary providers, to promote access to a wide range of activities and resources.

We are seeking someone who has a clear DBS, is available for a quick start at the service, and ideally has knowledge and experience within this field of work in supporting individuals presenting in mental health crisis.

In addition the individual will be expected to work as part of a rota, which will mean variable shifts during their period of working with the service and these shifts include hours and examples such as:

  • 09:00am - 17:00pm
  • 17:00pm - 23:00pm and a sleep at the service, and the following morning a 07:00am - 09:00am shift (this can sometimes also be followed by a 09:00am -17:00pm shift also).
  • 12:00pm - 20:00pm
  • 15:00pm - 23:00pm

The rota is currently rolling on a 5 week basis, and therefore individuals will be given shifts based upon this. This will include periods of weekends not in the service, but also a period a 7 days straight in respect of working on some weeks.
