Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full Time to start ASAP

We are working in partnership with a Specialist academy who are looking to recruit a Level 1 Teaching Assistant for their pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEMH, SEN/SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to provide educational support and make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with alternative learning methods.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional help.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Update, maintain, and monitor pupil plans.

Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of this role you would need to be Team Teach trained
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally those with special educational needs (SEMH/SEN/SEND).
  • Ability to educate and engage students effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
