About the Role:As a Forge Team Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe forging of products that meet our high-quality standards. Initially, this role involves working on a 2-shift basis, transitioning to a permanent night shift after a successful training period.
Key Responsibilities:- Adhere to all safety and quality processes and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
- Input and modify programs on computer controls.
- Organize die and tool storage and prepare dies for production.
- Perform fettling, billet painting, and shot blasting.
- Repair dies and tools during production.
- Inspect forged products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Brand and record part, serial, or other required numbers.
- Clean work areas and pits and carry out painting tasks as needed.
- Assist with the introduction of new or modified parts.
- Experience operating forklifts (FLT license preferred).
- Familiarity with pendant crane operation, confined spaces, and abrasive wheels.
- Prior experience working in a heavy industrial or engineering environment is essential.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude toward duties and working hours.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Night shift (following the initial training period)
- Salary: £27,000.00–£33,000.00 per year
