Elevation Recruitment are proud to be working with a forging business based in Lincoln to recruit experienced Forge Operatives to their team. They are a world-leading manufacturer of Nickel, Titanium, and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. Role: Forge Operatives

Location: Lincoln, UKSalary: £30,000 Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:As a Forge Team Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe forging of products that meet our high-quality standards. Initially, this role involves working on a 2-shift basis, transitioning to a permanent night shift after a successful training period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety and quality processes and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Input and modify programs on computer controls.
  • Organize die and tool storage and prepare dies for production.
  • Perform fettling, billet painting, and shot blasting.
  • Repair dies and tools during production.
  • Inspect forged products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Brand and record part, serial, or other required numbers.
  • Clean work areas and pits and carry out painting tasks as needed.
  • Assist with the introduction of new or modified parts.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience operating forklifts (FLT license preferred).
  • Familiarity with pendant crane operation, confined spaces, and abrasive wheels.
  • Prior experience working in a heavy industrial or engineering environment is essential.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude toward duties and working hours.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
Schedule:
  • 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
  • Night shift (following the initial training period)
Pay and Benefits:
  • Salary: £27,000.00–£33,000.00 per year
