I am working with a business that has been around for 40 years who are looking for an office administrator to join the team. This role offers a unique blend of physical and administrative duties.

Job overview:

 The successful candidate will be responsible for processing orders from initiation to the point of dispatch and ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Learn product knowledge thoroughly to efficiently convert orders over the phone
  • Produce clear and accurate paperwork for all orders and dispatches
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles to ensure smooth operations in the yard
  • Assist with stock rotation and maintain yard cleanliness
  • Prepare units for dispatch, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards
  • Assist in planning and organising vehicle delivery routes
  • Make occasional deliveries using a company van, adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to plan schedules effectively
  • Experience with or willingness to undergo training for forklift operation
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good telephone technique and ability to handle orders professionally
  • Enthusiasm and proactive approach to tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations in a yard and office environment.
