CAD Technician

Location: Blindley Heath – Surrey (office based)

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum

Hours: 8:30 - 17:30

Our client is a leading supplier of balustrading, privacy screens and Juliet balconies primarily to the UK market.

The Role

They are expanding and looking to add an experienced CAD technician to their UK office team.

A successful candidate will be their customers point of contact whilst their order is processed through the Technical Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively with a variety of audiences, including customers, partners and colleagues.
• Working under the Head of Technical.
• Handling design issues and provided a correct Technical solution.
• Design systems that comply with building regulations and structural calculations.
• Creating drawings packages for customer approval.
• Purchasing the product through in house CRM software.
• Converting approvals to fabrication drawing packages.
• Surveying sites when required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD LT and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with a strong command of grammar and vocabulary.
• Experience in the construction industry and terminology.
• Full UK Drivers Licence
• Software knowledge:
  • Office suite (proficient)
  • AutoCAD LT (2D) (proficient)
  • In-house software (training provided)
  • 3D CAD software (beneficial)
  • Graphical software (beneficial)
