About:Liphook Golf Club is a prestigious private members club, opened in 1922, that continues to invest in maintaining and improving the quality of both the mature heathland course and the clubhouse to the high standards demanded by todays golfers. The Club operates seven days per week which makes this a busy and varied position with some weekend/evening work.

Job Description: We are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to further their career in the hospitality industry. Reporting directly to the Clubhouse Manager, this is a pivotal role to ensure the successful and efficient running of the bar and catering facility. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, have well developed organisational and planning skills, competent with the use of standard office software and POS systems along with diary management, staff rostering and management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Clubhouse Manager in overseeing daily bar and catering clubhouse operations.
  • Deliver exceptional service to our members and guests.
  • Cellar and bar management.
  • Co-ordinate and manage events and functions.
  • Train and mentor staff.
  • Address and resolve any member concerns or issues, judging situations and acting promptly.
  • Uphold club policies and procedures.
  • New business development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in food and beverage operations (minimum 3-4 years).
  • Excellent personal presentation.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; confident when interacting with colleagues, members and guests.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Work well in a challenging and pressurised environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as required.
