Administrator - 12 month (initial) Fixed Term Contract
Division: Central - Insurance department
Location: Hillsborough, Northern Ireland

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Administrator to join our Hillsborough based team, on an initial 12month fixed Term Contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient co-ordination and administration of all insurance matters, requirements, paperwork and systems in operation across the GRAHAM Group.
The successful candidate will work with personnel across the organisation, to ensure that all Statutory insurance requirements are met and kept current, whilst also ensuring that overall Group policies are followed and complied with.

We are interested in speaking with candidates who implement both excellent organisational skills and strong communication skills, whilst handling confidential information with discretion.
Candidates with experience of working in either Construction, insurance or finance industries would be of particular interest, though this is not essential.
Expected duties:
  • Provide day to day administrative support to the Insurance Department.
  • Co-ordinate the administration of the Company Drivers Questionnaire process and External. Subcontractor Insurance database.
  • Maintain and update all current Insurance claims (both external and internal).
  • Maintain an adequate filing register and system.
  • Provide support to site personnel in respect of urgent insurance matters.
  • Assist with the preparation of Insurance accounts and reports.
  • Co-ordinate the administration of the current suite of Insurance documents and certificates.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with line managers, business partners, trustees and other specialist areas.
  • Explain basic insurance issues to non-specialists.
  • Administer the Motor Accident Database for the Group.
  • On occasions attend meetings in relation to Insurance and/or Insurance claims.
  • Manage the Plant register and uninsured third party payments
  • Travel booking and relief administrative support to other inter-company Departments
  • Occasional Reception relief
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Insurance Administrator and the range of duties to be undertaken.
It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.

Person Specification

Essential
  • Demonstrate strong Administrative experience, ideally in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Competent using Microsoft Excel
  • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Posses the ability to work independently, with the ability to make decisions and recommendations based on sound analysis of information
Desirable
  • Experience within the Construction industry
  • Experience within an insurance/claims/finance related role
