Our clients, based in Liss have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Turnerto join their growing team.


Our clients are an automotive specialist, passionate about their products, and their machine shop team is expanding!


Role Summary

  • To program, set and operate a Haas CNC 4-axis turning centre
  • Setting existing programs as provided by the production engineering facility
  • Creating and validating new programs under guidance


Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate Haas CNC 4-axis turning centre with driven tooling, running short batches of simple or complex components to tight tolerances
  • Inspect work at the machine, approve first-offs and check continued compliance during batch-run. Communicate issues as necessary
  • Create and prove programs using Haas NextGen control. Identify tooling needs and maintenance/calibration issues.
  • Operate other production machinery as directed (guidance and training will be given as necessary)
  • Operate manual machinery for the purpose of second-op work or fixturing.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensure Health and Safety regulations are met, and safe working practices are adhered to
  • Carry out general workshop duties as directed (unloading, storing and cutting material, deburring and hand finishing where required)
  • Work with the business to identify and agree manufacturing priorities and production schedules
  • Complete all necessary production control records (timesheets, inspection records etc)


Experience and Skills Required

  • CNC programming, setting and operator experience
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues, with a proactive can-do attitude
