MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician that will join a leading business in the power generation sector. As a Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of all mechanical assets.

As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Maintenance repairs on equipment such as conveyors, boilers, steam turbines etc.
• Ensuring all routine maintenance is completed and recorded to the plants maintenance management system
• Reacting and repairing failed equipment around the site
• Assisting the Mechanical Engineer by updating, reviewing and modifying the maintenance plans for the plant
• Reporting all of the health, safety and environmental concerns, incidents and near misses to the site reporting system
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Relevant engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC, NVQ, Apprenticeship)
• Experience in the Power Generation sector is preferred but not essential
• Experience working in demanding and dynamic environments
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to be adaptable and flexible
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• General knowledge of H&S Legislation, Safety rules, Safe working environment and outages
