Quality & Compliance Auditor

£30,000 - £32,000 per annum plus benefits

Pontypool

I am proud to bring to market this unique and exciting opportunity for a Quality & Compliance Auditor. This role is based with a renowned manufacturing business based in Pontypool who produce products for the new build sector. You will be site based with occasional site visits and have proven experience of implementing ISO9001 and Quality Management Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the upkeep of internal works instructions
  • Assist in the upkeep external works instructions where required.
  • Auditing of the internal and external management systems to ensure adherence to specified quality levels and standards, Quality Plans, WI's and SOPs.
  • Coordinate the resolution of non-conformities arising from internal audit.
  • Document control for the business management systems.
  • Managing day to day business compliance risks related to Safety, Quality and Environment.
  • Coordination of the quick resolution of quality issues with Production, Engineering and Materials teams - from temporary containment action to permanent counter measures
  • Assist with company data capture and data analysis that feed departmental and company KPI's. Assist in training requirements for internal and external teams, including keeping training records.
  • Complete quality audits when required.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Experience in ISO9001 and Quality Management Systems and standards.
  • Ideally CQI & IRCA certified internal auditor.
  • Experience within a continuous improvement culture.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety, preferably IOSH qualified
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • IT literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Able to work under own direction and use initiative with good attention to detail
  • Ability to engage co workers in the business management system and its processes
