Shifts: Monday to Friday, 5-7am starts with 9-12 hour shifts. Contracted 45 hour per week and nights out may be required

Manpower are recruiting Class 2 Driversto join our client's workforce based in Grantham. In this role you will be responsible for the collection and safe transportation of Waste Electronic Appliances across various locations in England. You will operate company vehicles to collect the waste from various commercial, industrial, Waste Sites and residential locations nationwide.

As an employee you will follow planned routes and schedules provided by the operations team and ensure safe loading, securing, and unloading of waste to avoid damage and maintain compliance with safety standards. You will also be required to perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is in good working order before beginning the route.

You will load and unload waste manually or with mechanical assistance, ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently. Appropriate equipment, such as trolleys, pallet trucks, and tail lifts, will be used to support the loading and unloading process.

The training offered includes on-the-job training and standard induction for best practice.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Cat C Licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph
  • Able to competently and safely operate assigned vehicles
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • A level of physical fitness will be required as you will be handling large appliances


Other skills which will be of benefit however are no essential:

  • A strong commitment to environmental responsibility
  • Previous experience in waste collection, logistics, or a related field is desirable
  • Knowledge of Waste systems and recycling experience
  • Experience with LDA's or other electronic appliances is advantageous, but not essential
