Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime and disruptions to production.
  • Conduct routine inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality assurance, to support operational goals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing enhancements to machinery, processes, and workflows.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Maintenance Engineer role within an FMCG or similar high-paced industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience in fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Knowledge of automated machinery and PLC systems is highly desirable.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Ideally, a relevant engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
