Condair Group, founded in 1948 and based in Switzerland, is the global leader in the humidification, dehumidification, and evaporative cooling industry. The group has production sites in Europe, North America and China, its own sales and service organizations in 23 countries, and representatives in over 50 locations worldwide. The newly created position of assistant management accountant reports to the financial controller and is based at the UK office in Rustington.

You will support the FC in providing information to both the senior management team and the parent company in Switzerland, so this is an important role which will require a high level of aptitude for both transactional and analytical accounting duties in a modern and highly automated business environment.

Your key duties will include:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual and monthly management accounts.
  • Month-end processes such as posting journals for depreciation, accruals & prepayments.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review SAP transactions.
  • Oversee aged receivables and escalate to debt collection agency.
  • Review invoice management tool to ensure all invoices are posted accurately.
  • Management of the internal expenses system.
  • Liaise with the outsourced payroll providers for the UK and Ireland.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and planning processes.
  • VAT submissions and quarterly corporation tax payments.
  • Maintain the accuracy of financial data and provide ad hoc analysis of revenue and costs.

To be considered for this exciting career opportunity, you will be actively studying towards AAT level 2 or 3, and will also be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven success in a finance position, including practical experience in purchase ledger and/or sales ledger.
  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals and timesheet/payroll input.
  • Strong Excel skills (large data tables, filters and basic formulas).
  • Strong communication, organisation, and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development and with a forward-thinking approach.
  • Experience in the use of SAP & Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be preferred.
