A Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with either Electrical or Mechanical Bias who has either a recognised apprenticeship or holds Level 3 qualifications in engineering subjects. You will have good challenges in this role and will enjoy undertaking a variety of work as part of your duties. You will have the opportunity to build on your current skillset and as part of a motivated team of maintenance specialists, you will be a team player with good communication skills.

CompanyWe are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, either electrical or mechanical biased, to work within a successful manufacturing company at their southern factory near Littlehampton. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Maintenance Engineers working in this fast faced environment. The role is varied and enjoyable, where you can expect to be challenged and supported as the team work to continuously improve the production machinery.

ResponsibilitiesThis role will involve all aspects of plant maintenance from troubleshooting, planned maintenance and project work. Whether you are undertaking PPM or reacting quickly & efficiently to breakdowns, you will ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is always achieved and will assist across all maintenance activities on site. The successful candidate will be working as part of the maintenance team ensuring that all plant equipment is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and in a safe order. You will also need to adhere to strict health and safety requirements at all times.

The role will include all electrical & mechanical issues including Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Welding, Fabricating and electrical fault finding with electrical automated machinery.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Has completed a recognised apprenticeship or holds engineering qualifications at NVQ/C&G Level 3 or above
  • Is a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical or Mechanical Biased with experience maintaining machinery within Industrial, Manufacturing or Production environments (Most considered)
  • Good experience of maintaining plant machinery through fault finding, planned maintenance, shutdowns and project work.
  • Has good attention to detail - ensuring repairs are carried out to a high quality - promptly and safely
  • Friendly and adaptable working attitude, with the hunger to learn and physically fit
  • Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in
  • Provide good communication to both colleagues and production, keeping the required logs of maintenance work.
  • Always work safely and follow safe systems of work.
  • Good skills & experience with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, electrical controls systems etc
  • Are motivated and driven to succeed
  • Are willing to take on and complete further training as part of your professional growth and development in the factory and company
