Established in 1889, their club is steeped in history and renowned for its ever-changing challenges, offering golfers a unique experience every time they play. As anAssistant Greenkeeper, you’ll play a key role in shaping the course’s future while upholding its legacy.

The Role

As part of this skilled and dedicated team, you’ll be responsible for keeping the course in top condition while also taking part in exciting development projects. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Course Maintenance – Mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough, and raking bunkers to ensure excellent playing conditions.
  • Machinery Operation – Using and maintaining specialist golf course equipment.
  • Course Development – Assisting with bunker renovations, drainage projects, tee construction, and other improvements.
  • Teamwork & Pride – Keeping work areas clean, secure, and professional while contributing to their club’s welcoming and respected atmosphere.
  • Flexible Scheduling – Weekend and Bank Holiday duties on a rota basis.

About you:

To thrive in this role, you should be:

  • Experienced – At least 2 years of greenkeeping experience.
  • Qualified – NVQ Level 2 in sports turf (preferred but not essential).
  • Motivated & Passionate – A genuine love for golf course maintenance.
  • A Strong Communicator – Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Safety Conscious – Understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Licensed to Drive – A full driving license is required.
