Transport Manager - Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of services.
- Develop and implement transport strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Monitor and manage fleet performance, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and optimise the use of resources, including vehicles, drivers, and support staff.
- Ensure that all drivers and vehicles comply with health and safety regulations, including maintaining accurate records.
- Liaise with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
- Manage budgets, prepare reports, and analyse data to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the transport team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Transport Manager - Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a transport management role.
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage is essential.
- Membership with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is highly desirable.
- A Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- A driven individual with a passion for the transport industry and a keen interest in progressing within the company.
Transport Manager - Remunerations
- 38,000 - 42,000
- Mon - Fri 8:00 - 18:00
- 28 days holiday inc bank holidays.
