The company operates worldwide, supplying raw materials to various industries. This site specialises in developing and manufacturing agricultural, crop protection, and pest control chemicals.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Technician
- Prepare, sterilise, and set up the fermentation vessels while ensuring all necessary health and safety, and process checks are completed.
- Operate and maintain a range of production and utility equipment, such as vessels, centrifuges, filters, boilers, compressors, generators, chillers, and effluent holding tanks.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating them as necessary, and perform process equipment maintenance.
- The Production Technician will support the Fermentation Supervisor in daily operational tasks.
Qualifications required for the Production Technician
- The ideal Production Technician will have prior experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in a similar or relevant industry, with the ability to troubleshoot, fault-find, and resolve engineering issues effectively.
- A solid understanding of mechanical maintenance, including working with pumps, mixers, and valves.
- While a background in microbiology is desirable, it is not mandatory.
