Role: Production SupervisorSalary:£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus overtime

A Senior Operator, Production Supervisor or Team Leader with experience leading others within a manufacturing or production environment. Must have good attention to detail and have some mechanical knowledge, sufficient to optimise machine efficiency by making minor changes or repairs.
CompanyWe are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor or Team Leader to work within a successful manufacturing company at their southern factory near Littlehampton. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of 6 Production Operators who will look to you to ensure they have everything they need to meet the production & quality targets.
ResponsibilitiesThe Production Supervisor will lead a team of 6 Production Operators, ensuring they have what they need to meet production & quality targets. You will utilise your knowledge & skills to ensure production machinery is working well and where necessary, use your mechanical knowledge (detailed mechanical skills are not expected) to make minor changes or repairs to deliver optimal production efficiency.
You will use your good communication skills to ensure the Operators understand their duties and provide effective leadership to achieve this.
With product quality a key metric, you will regularly be reviewing and checking product quality and responding quickly where issues are identified.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Has previously lead others or a team within an Industrial, Manufacturing or Production environment,
- Enjoys some basic mechanical knowledge to be able to identify improvements in production machinery and make small changes or repairs.
- Knowledge of production moulding is useful - injection moulding, Blow Moulding, Compression Moulding or Extrusion Moulding
- Has good communication skills, used to ensuring the team understand their duties and responsibilities.
- Provides good leadership, mentoring and coaching team members when required and ensures production targets are achieved.
- Able to work closely with the Engineering Maintenance team when breakdowns occur, or production line changes are required.
- Proactive work attitude and keen to get the best from others.
- Always ensures the team work safely and are following all Health & Safety requirements.
