We are working with a supportive and welcoming school in the Arun district of West Sussex, who are seeking a science teacher to start in September 2024

About the role

The successful applicant will be joining a team of highly experienced teachers within a high-specification science laboratory. You will be working collaboratively with students to deliver outstanding theory and practical lessons.

This is a full-time role in which you will be expected to deliver well-planned lessons and strong behaviour management. The school requires a dynamic teacher who can think on their feet and tailor their lessons to the needs of the pupils and to ready the students with real life skills. They focus on setting high standards to challenge their pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum that has been built upon the core values of the school.

You will be working alongside an extremely supportive and collaborative department with a team of excellent and committed practitioners in a building with excellent facilities. Teachers will also have access to the school’s internal CPD programme.

The school serves its local community and surrounding area and is accessible by car and public transport.

About you
  • A qualified teacher with a formal teaching qualification (NQTs will be considered for this role)

  • Confident teaching a Biology at Key Stage 4 and 5 to a range of abilities

  • A passion for your subject and education in general

  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to new environments

  • A desire to work as a team with the rest of the department and the school
