Reed Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Littlehampton area and are looking for a skilled and experienced Tool Maker to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain milling machines, lathes, grinders, and power presses.
  • Utilize experience in part mould and press tools to produce high-quality components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Identify, design, and assemble special hand and press tools as required.
  • Perform milling and cutting operations for low-volume stock parts.
  • Repair and adjust production line equipment as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tool Maker, with expertise in milling, lathe, grinding, and power press operations.
  • Strong background in part mould and press tools.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Ability to design and assemble specialized hand and press tools.
  • Skilled in performing milling and cutting operations for low-volume production.
  • Experience in repairing and adjusting production line equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
