Science Solutions are looking to recruit a Process Engineer on behalf of one of our clients in the Leicestershire area.

To be considered for the role of Process Engineer you must be degree educated as a minimum in an engineering discipline. Preferably Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering.

As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for reducing customer complaints/issues and assisting in profit maximisation within the business by identifying and implementing process improvement to reduce costs and improving overall product quality.

Role requirements

  • Degree educated as a minimum in an engineering discipline. Ideally Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or another closely related subject.
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in the use of various mechanical software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential.
  • Previous experience in managing process risk and hazard assessment tools such as PFMEA, FMEA, HAZOP and more.
  • Understanding of CI Methodologies. Any qualifications such as Six Sigma, Prince 2 or APM PMQ highly desirable.
  • Any experience in the manufacturing of composite materials is highly desirable.

Role responsibilities

  • Assist the business in achieving profit maximisation and reducing customer complaints by identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and improving overall product quality.
  • Design and developing existing & new technology to the factory.
  • Manage and deliver projects within budget, scope and safety requirements.
  • NPD introduction into the facility whilst optimising and maintaining the process.
