Position: Senior Air Freight Specialist

Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 + Benefits
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-17:00

Due to rapid growth, and the roll out of a new freight forwarding division, we are now hiring for a Senior Air Freight Specialist to play a vital support role from a new operation in London Heathrow.
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic freight forwarder to oversee our airfreight import operation, ensuring efficiency, timeliness and cost-effectiveness. As well as the day-to-day airfreight operations, you will be support the branch manager, collaborating with cross-functional departments, negotiating rates and contracts with new and existing customers, and optimise processes to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day air freight operational activity for both import consignments.
- To be compliant with all customs process/ declarations for import and export
- Help to train, support and develop operations team members.
- Work in collaboration with commercial departments.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure business retention
Essential experience:
- A minimum of 5 years experience working within the Freight Forwarding Industry with a strong focus on Air import operations and Service Excellence for airfreight shipments.
- Advanced knowledge of airfreight process and security procedures and protocols.
- Strong negotiator and a self-starter with the ability to adapt to busy environments by using a sociable but firm approach, as well as engendering trust and integrity.
