We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charity Accountant to join one of our not-for-profit organisation based in Liverpool. As a key member of the finance team, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Director to maintain accounting control in compliance with both internal and external reporting requirements.

Role Overview:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for producing draught financial statements,
  • Preparing and submitting VAT and other tax returns,
  • Responding to external audit queries, and preparing Statutory Accounts.
  • Additionally, you will support the Head of Finance with the project management of the transfer of the main finance system to the cloud
  • Conduct internal audits

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience working within the not-for-profit sector and hold a recognised finance qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical ability and the ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.
