Financial Controller | Liverpool (office based) | £60,000 - £70,000

Talentedge is supporting a massively growing and modern business in Liverpool City Centre in finding a Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance function as the business scales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial analysis, preparing management accounts, supporting business decision-making through insightful financial reporting, cost management and leading the year end accounting and tax compliance process with the external accountants. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant looking to develop their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain company financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial reporting.
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Manage and develop a finance team.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against key metrics.
  • Cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee the financial year-end close and liaise with external accountants.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide financial guidance and reporting.
  • Provide insights to improve cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting on stock transactions and movements.
