Group Financial Accountant

Group Financial Accountant Merseyside£55,000 - £65,000 +bonus

A high-growth, North West based business is recruiting for a qualified Group Financial Accountant, who has experience of consolidation and Audits.

Reporting to the Group FD you will be responsible for group consolidation, balance sheet and cash flow. You will collaborate with the Group FD to ensure accurate and timely completion of group accounting and reporting tasks. Establishing and maintaining robust financial processes, support and oversee existing financial activity and manage the financial integration of new businesses.

This is an ideal position for someone who is ACA / ACCA Qualified and looking to join a growing commercial business.

This position has path to FC.

As Group Financial Accountant your role will involve:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for subsidiary companies.
• Managing inter-company reconciliations.
• Consolidating forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans, along with supplementary group reporting including cashflow and net working capital analysis.
• Coordinating management reporting packs
• Handling corporation tax accounting and submissions
• Coordinating the annual external audit process and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligations.
• Providing training and guidance to the Management Accounts team and supporting with technical finance matters.
• Acting as a key contact for Group Finance and mentoring the Assistant Reporting Accountant.

• Be ACA or ACCA qualified
• Have worked in Audit
• Have current knowledge of IFRS
• The ability to work to tight deadlines
• The ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
• Experience of supporting and embedding the financial elements of transformational change.
• Full understanding of the compliance and legislation associated with financial reporting.
