Overview:
We are seeking a talented Interim Financial Accountant to provide maternity cover for a 12 month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within a leading UK-based organisation known for delivering strong year-on-year growth. Based at their Liverpool headquarters, you'll play a critical role in external financial reporting, internal management accounts, and key corporate projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver robust and timely internal and external financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage year-end statutory reporting for a large group
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax, and treasury teams to ensure efficient audit processes.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Contribute to corporate projects, including process improvements and compliance initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of ad hoc projects, including internal audits and assurance tasks.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a strong audit or financial reporting background.
  • Proficient in UK GAAP and experienced in statutory reporting and audit management.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Detail-oriented with advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • A motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
