Reed Recruitment have recently partnered up with a fantastic business who are a market leader in their sector and looking to appoint a Group Financial Reporting Accountant to the business on an FTC basis. This is an exciting role for someone who is looking to work in a fast-paced environment and develop existing skills and experience.

Your Role:

Support the Group Finance team in producing robust, timely, and commercially focused financial reporting and delivering corporate projects. This role is a fixed term contract to cover maternity.

Key Responsibilities:

External Financial Reporting

Assist in managing half-year and year-end close processes.
Prepare annual Group and subsidiary statutory accounts (FRS 102).
Support joint venture companies’ year-end audit process.
Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary information.

Internal Financial Reporting / Management Accounting

Prepare financial reports on performance, variances, and trends.
Prepare monthly management accounts, including data analysis and journal postings in SAP.
Provide ad hoc support to the Group Management Accounts Team Leader.

Financial / Corporate Projects

Support ad hoc financial/corporate projects, including changes in accounting standards.
Coordinate work with professional advisors on financial matters.

Group Finance / Other Team Projects + Continuous Improvement

Ensure delivery of important projects through effective project management.
Identify and implement improvements in reporting and processes.
Prepare process and controls documentation.

Treasury and Tax

Assist with Group Finance support to the Group Treasurer and Group Head of Tax.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with audit experience.
Good knowledge of UK GAAP and year-end audit reporting.
Relevant management accounting experience.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
