Management Accountant | Liverpool | £45,000 - £55,000

An opportunity to join a fast growing Liverpool based business operating within the FMCG sector. This role will support the Finance Director and allow an ambitious accountant to join a high performing and well respected team. The successful candidate will own the full management accounts process and allow future progression into a more senior role.

Our client is a brilliant Liverpool based business with an enviable reputation. They have performed well in recent years and are now forecasting further growth. 

Main duties

  • Prepare management reports, financial statements, and forecasts
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve cost efficiency
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide insights
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes
  • Support financial audits and provide necessary documentation
  • Analysing financial data and preparing management reports
  • Collaborating with other departments to gather relevant financial information
  • Conducting variance analysis and reporting insights to management
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements

Candidate profile

  • CIMA/ACCA Qualified/Studying or QBE
  • Previous management accounts experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with exposure to c-suite level
