Senior Management Accountant Location: LiverpoolSalary: £45,000About the Company:Join a growing company located in the heart of Liverpool, known for its amazing company culture, good benefits, and supportive, progressive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the effective running of the Finance function by producing meaningful information to support decision-making.
  • Ensure the business complies with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Create a strong control environment within the finance team, embedding effective processes and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, providing accurate and meaningful information on the P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, providing commentary on reconciling items.
  • Maintain quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Support the Financial Controller with the year-end process, producing financial statements and acting as a key point of contact for the audit team.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing regulatory returns for FCA and HMRC.
  • Review and improve accounting processes and practices to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with projects, ensuring all aspects of Finance requirements are considered and costs are controlled.

What You Need:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountancy qualification
  • Proven experience working with financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience with the year-end process, including statutory account production and audit requirements.
  • Clear communication skills at all levels, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and prioritise work effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
