Assistant Accountant Liverpool City Centre

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hours 37 hours

We currently have an exciting opportunity working with one of our clients who are awell-established Legal firm based in Liverpool Centre, recruiting for an Assistant Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Support finance team with daily accounting tasks including bookkeeping and data entry
  • Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and process invoices
  • Assist with payroll, VAT returns, and month-end close activities
  • Provide support during audits and liaise with external stakeholders
  • Contribute to budgeting processes and cash flow management
  • Assist senior accountants with financial reporting and decision-making
  • Use accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero) efficiently
  • Ensure timely submission of tax filings and other financial documents
  • Perform ad-hoc financial tasks as needed within the team.


Experience

  • Part-qualified or qualified by experience, with at least 3 years experience in a fast-paced finance environment
  • Hands-on approach, capable of providing support and solving problems across different areas of the business
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
  • Proficient in financial software systems with a high level of expertise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships
